"Normal
difficulty"
Way
Points.
All
of the WayPoints (WP's) must be found and activated.
Town
portal and Identify scrolls.
No
scrolls can be bought in town. You can use only those you find in a game.
You can buy tomes of Town Portal and of Idenify only 1 time per all MC
game - in town, after completing Act One. Though you can't buy any scrolls
to fill them up.
Remember - the
only way to indentify item is by a scroll you find. No Cain help is allowed.
Town.
You can't enter a town till the end of an act. You can complete "town
required" quests only after a full accomplishment of the present
act.
You can pass through the Lut-Golein in Act Two few times since otherwise
it is impossible to go further. However, you can't do anything in a town
(buy, gamble, sell, repair, use stash, ressurect mercs, Cain identify).
After each act you can enter a town and do anything you want except
identifying items by Cain and buying scrolls until you leave for
the next town. Remember, if you use stash, you can't retrieve items from
there till the accomplishment of the next act.
Going Back.
It is allowed to go back to any cleared location within current
act within a current game session. E.g. - If you started a session from
a "Black Marsh WP", you can go everywhere from that WP to the
Andariel's lair. But you can't go to the previous WP's (like Black Wood
or Stony Fields).
After you finished a current act you can also go back to complete quests
and pick some items you've left (though remember, you won't be able to
identify them by Cain). Since you are in town, you can use TP scrolls.
Quests.
All quests
must be accomplished. That ones that require some visits to the town must
be accomplished after the
end of act.. You can immidiately use the rewards given in a process
(e.g. - Book dropped by Radament in act 2). You can take all rewards that
require going back to town only after the end of act.
You must complete all quests in a current act to move further. That means,
yes, you have to use Charsie's reward in act 1, break the soulstone in
act 4 and use a "socket" in act 5 - that because of you can't
go back to previous locations at all costs.
Cow level.
You can enter Cow
Level after you finish Normal Difficulty.
You must kill all cows. No "save & exit" or running away
from by TP or red entrance TP level is allowed until every cow is dead.
It is not obligatory to complete "Cow level Quest".
Monsters.
You don't have to kill
every monster in a game. It's up to you how to clean up a level. Remember,
if you just "go straight ahead" and don't run into every dangeon,
you still get enough experience and levels even for the Hell Difficulty.
E.g. - moving at a "normal" speed
(not too slow and not too fast) you get level 73-74 on the beginning of
Act One Hell Difficulty.
Items.
You can use any items,
runes, stones you find and make in your MC game.
Mercs.
You can buy and use
any mercs you like. Though remember, if your merc dies, you can't ressurect
him until the end of an act. You can give any items to your merc.
Party & Charachters.
All MC characters can play only one MC game, started from act 1 Normal
and ending act 5 Hell (Baal killed). They can't be used in other games,
otherwise they loose their MC status.
It is allowed to play MC from 1 to 8 players. From the very start
you must decide how much players are going. You can't change or add other
players later. Though, you can drop some players if they are dead, inactive,
ect..
In case one of the players die, other/others decide if they are to continue.
If they do not, these characters are no longer considered MC and can't
be used anymore in MC games.
The character's names should start from 2 letters - "MC" (E.g.
- MC-Killer, MC-Tom, so on..)
If a player beats Normal Difficulty his char is considered to be a Crowned
MC character.
Breaks.
It is possible to use town portals or Wp's when the break for some minutes/hours
is made.
If the game session is over and a party decide to end this game for today,
the nearest WP must be found and activated. Next session must be continued
from this WP.
If you want to start next session from the next act, you must enter that
act's town and exit there.
You can't exit game just in a process, especially when you are in a hard
or even in deadly situation. You cant leave it only from WP's or town.

each act ending.
Buying tomes is forbidden.
